Rekha Thapa has become mother of four Raute children
Nepali actress Rekha Thapa had organized a inauguration ceremony to formally announce the social work she had started recently by establishing the Rekha Thapa Foundation. In the event she told, “I have felt like a mother. Now I have realized that you don’t need to be in blood relationship to become a mother.”
In the formal event, Rekha also released a half-hour-long video showing the details of her visit to the Far Western Nepal to meet Raute community people. The website of the organization, rekhathapafoundation.org, was also launched during the event.
Rekha had adopted four Raute children and brought them with her when she returned back from the Far Western Nepal. Three girls and a boy are now living in the hostel of Anandakuti school in Swoyambhu.
Rekha Thapa first announced about the Foundation concept while she was in Hong Kong to premier her movie ‘Kali‘.

Kelly Richards of was tired of worrying all the time where the next dollar is coming from. Life seemed merely a succession of bills and worrying about how to pay them. One late night while surfing the internet, her long hours of research had finally paid off and she discovered her tight lip secret to getting a break in life and beating the recession. I read Kelly's blog last month and decided to feature her story in our local job report. In our phone interview she told me her amazing story. "I basically make about $6,000-$8,000 a month online. It's enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home.
Working online has been a big break for Kelly, who struggled for months going from one dead end job to another. "I lost my job shortly after the recession hit, I needed reliable income, I was not interested in the "get rich quick" scams you see all over the internet. Those are all pyramid scams or stuff where you have to sell to your friends and family. I just needed a legitimate way to earn a living for me and my family. The best part of working online is that I am always home with the kids, I save a lot of money."

Upcoming Nepali Film MOKSHYA 2014
There are quite a number of releases for the upcoming year and MOKSHYA happens to be one of them. The upcoming Nepali film by Prabeen Shrestha revolves around music and follows few lead characters and their journey to come to terms with a defining moment in their lives. The movie which is based on a true story will be in cinemas on 7th February 2014. The makers have recently shared a song and a teaser of MOKSHYA. Looks interesting – would’ve preferred to have the theatrical trailer before a teaser yeah… I’m sure that’s coming our way soon.

Rajesh Hamal was at a program to unveil singer and musician Meghraj Magarati’s musical album ‘Anamol Shristi’. On the questions by journalists Hamal said, “You can be assured, I will get married in Falgun.” He also added that the marriage will be a simple ceremony without much noises. About the exact date, he told about a journalist meet at the start of February.
It has been quite some time since the actor Rajesh Hamal had revealed the existence of a girl friend. The actor had been successful in keeping his girlfriend secret for more than a year. When a rumor that the affair being fake started going around, the girlfriend agreed to talk to a ‘Saptahik’ journalist. It was later revealed that the girlfriend was Madhu Bhattarai. About six months before the real identity of the girlfriend was revealed, we had received unconfirmed information about the name being Madhu.
Hamal had planned to get married in 2010 but, on the suggestion of an astrologer it was postponed till 2013. It is not known why the 50-years-old actor couldn’t marry in 2013 and he is waiting till the Valentine Day of 2014.

Binita Baral may have been left embarrassed after producer Krisha Chaulagain removed her from what was set to be her debut movie but now it look’s like things could not have been any better for the petite actress as she is set to start the promotional campaign for her first movie CHAPALI HEIGHT. These days, the novels are getting saggier and more bloated (at more than 750 pages in length, the last one was longer than Crime and Punishment), but ever since Christopher (Home Alone) Columbus vacated the director's seat, the film adaptations have been getting progressively sharper and more interesting. The latest even features Jarvis Cocker and members of Radiohead vamping it up as the Wyrd Sisters at a school ball.

Like his predecessor Alfonso Cuarón, he has little time for anything sappy or sugary. "Dark and difficult times lie ahead" is one of the things that Hogwarts headmaster Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) tells Harry early on; and the whole film, an unexpectedly black and at times very frightening foray into the less fun side of wizardry and magic, fully deserves its "12A" classification.

Shia LaBeouf apologises after plagiarizing artist Daniel Clowes for his new short film
The piece stars Jim Gaffigan as an online film critic named Howard Cantour, and it is almost a direct adaptation of Justin M. Damiano, a 2007 comic written and drawn by famed artist Daniel Clowes.

"In my excitement and naiveté as an amateur filmmaker, I got lost in the creative process and neglected to follow proper accreditation," tweeted LaBeouf.
It is surprising to find that nowhere in the promotion for or credits of the film does LaBeouf mention the Clowes comic.
Eric Reynolds, longtime editor of Clowes' comics and associate publisher at Fantagraphics, called the film "shameless theft!"
"The first I ever heard of the film was this morning when someone sent me a link. I've never spoken to or met Mr. LaBeouf," Clowes was quoted saying. "I've never even seen one of his films that I can recall - and I was shocked, to say the least, when I saw that he took the script and even many of the visuals from a very personal story I did six or seven years ago and passed it off as his own work. I actually can't imagine what was going through his mind."
Both the film and comic start with narration by the main character, who says, "A critic is a warrior, and each of us on the battlefield have the means to glorify or demolish (whether a film, a career, or an entire philosophy) by influencing perception in ways that if heartfelt and truthful, can have far-reaching repercussions."
The astounding similarities continue through the end of the film and the pieces share many more direct quotes.
This accusation is not the first as LaBeouf has been accused of plagiarism before, taking blocks of quotes from an Esquire article and pasting them into an email he sent Alec Baldwin that he leaked online.
LaBeouf tweeted: "Copying isn't particularly creative work. Being inspired by someone else's idea to produce something new and different IS creative work."
LaBeouf claimed he wasn't "copying" Clowes, but rather was "inspired" by him and "got lost in the creative process."
A representative for LaBeouf has not immediately returned a request for comment, but the film is now password protected.

"I think Modi can try a clean-shaven look. I think you (men) all look good. It might just, I don't know, look better," the Bollywood diva told reporters on the sidelines of a brand's event.
Asked if bearded men like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Modi aren't attractive, Chitrangada said, "See if you are a Sikh and there's certain amount of religious reasons for you to keep beard or the hair. Of course, that is great and you can still look well-groomed. You still look well turned-out."

However, Chitrangada clarified that she was talking about those men who otherwise are not shaving and could be shaving on daily basis.

I am confident ‘Kamasutra 3D’ will be nominated for Oscars: Director
Rupesh Paul, director of the much-talked about Sherlyn Chopra-starer 'Kamasutra 3D', is confident about getting nominated for Oscars after making it to the prestigious contention list of the 86th Academy Awards.
Kamasutra 3D made it to the prestigious contention list of the 86th Academy Awards, with selection in the three categories - Best Motion Picture, Original Score and Original Song with five songs. Speaking about making the same, Rupesh said, "I am confident about walking the Oscar red carpet with my cast and crew. We have made it to three categories. I am positive about our songs. The music composers have done a wonderful job." Rupesh also says that it is proud moment for him. "Probably now we have an answer for those who claimed the movie to be soft porn. Hopefully, they know that soft porn is not eligible for the Academy Award nominations," he added.
Kamasutra 3D will be released in three versions. Rupesh said "We are targeting the Video On Demand market as we can show our uncut film there. We have made another version for family viewing as that is a big audience in India and we don't want to miss out on that one. We also have theatrical version."
While speaking about the reasons for releasing three versions, Rupesh said, "Our people have double standards. If a film like Nasha was banned on the grounds of having a provocative title our will definitely be banned in its hard version. In the tourism campaign Incredible India, India is promoted as a land of Kamasutra but I vividly remember the fight Meera Nair had to put up to release her film in India." The film has been in news ever since the makers revealed the first look with Sherlyn Chopra posing nude. "Sherlyn has done a wonderful job.
No other Indian actress can dream of doing Kamasutra. She plays role of the sex goddess," says Rupesh. However, after the trailer was released, people expecting it to be an erotica were taken by surprise as the film looks to be a war film. "It is a war film but erotica is major part of the same. Sherlyn has done an excellent job but a lot depends on how much we are allowed to show," Rupesh said. The film also stars Milind Gunaji and Makrand Deshpande.

If a film like Nasha was banned on the grounds of having a provocative title our will definitely be banned in its hard version. In the tourism campaign Incredible India, India is promoted as a land of Kamasutra but I vividly remember the fight Meera Nair had to put up to release her film in India." The film has been in news ever since the makers revealed the first look with Sherlyn Chopra posing nude. "Sherlyn has done a wonderful job.
No other Indian actress can dream of doing Kamasutra. She plays role of the sex goddess," says Rupesh. The "bad girl" that men are so taken by at times isn't someone who is morally corrupt, but it has more to do with the psychological make-up. According to psychologist and counsellor Varkha Chulani, these are women who have had unfortunate learning experiences in life and thus, have a very manipulative and conniving way of going about their relationships, "We're not saying they have a bad moral sense. It is more about the poor role models they may have had, like an abusive parent, that shapes their world view and makes them dominate and control their surroundings and the men around them," she adds.
Why do men like it?
According to Chulani, men like the challenge that a bad girl poses. She elaborates, "A lot of times, men believe that they are tamers of sorts and that if they are able to reign them in, they get an ego boost of sorts." This may be due to the reputation that a bad girl builds over time. According to psychiatrist Dr Anjali Chhabria, at times men have emotionally dependant personalities. "Men, who are in a relationship with an emotionally manipulative woman, feel like they are saving her, and believe they are in control of the situation," she says.
Often, men even have the need to figure out the mystery that a 'bad girl' presents. It's an addiction based on the need to control, and the fact that they themselves are manipulated, makes it even more irresistible.
Is it fun?
Dating a bad girl can be fun in the initial stages, but that feeling fades away soon, leaving an aching heart and a trampled ego in its wake. "After the initial fun bit, the relationship may go through tremendous upheavals, and due to fatigue in maintaining the relationship, the partners opt out," says Chulani.
Another factor that makes a relationship with a bad girl fun yet short lived is the fact that most 'bad girls' ride big on the persona they create. "For a relationship to stay you need character. Personality is a superficial connect, whereas with character, you look for connection. So for a long term relationship, there has to be a shift from a superficial level to a deeper level," says Dr Chhabria adding that the value systems need to match for a relationship to continue. However, dismissing dating a bad girl could just take out a very important experience from your dating scene. "It could also be a hell of a ride!" exclaims author Advaita Kala.
Behind the scene: Boss' action sequence
Nine months of meticulous preparation, 80 hours of manpower invested for seven days of exhausting shoot-- all for one eightminute climactic hand-to-hand combat. If this was not enough, the unit also faced the wrath of the sun, which was a scorching 48 degrees when they shot this action sequence for 'Boss' at a remote location near Bangkok. Stunt director Annal Arasu says his brief was simple. Anthony D'Souza, the film's director, told me to choreograph a stunt sequence that had the scale of an epic battle, just like the Mahabharata.
"Working towards that, I focussed on the characters, who were not superheroes, but ordinary people, so the fight didn't look artificial. That was why we incorporated hand-to-hand combats, fist fights, hand-blocks and thundering punches," says Arasu.
No body double was used and no special effects were incorporated. Instead, the actors, Akshay Kumar and Ronit Roy spent months working on their physique and preparing for the big fight . "As a result, we didn't over-shoot even one per cent," says the action director. "None of the scenes required more than four retakes."
Did they take any precautions? "Other than umbrellas to prevent us from the killing heat, none," he laughs. So did either of the actors get injured? Arasu admits that Ronit did.

The director has just returned from the film's London schedule and is currently shooting portions in a city studio. A central scene in the film will see Saif in three avatars and the film's producer, Vashu Bhagnani, has hired a VFX team from Los Angeles for the same.
A source close to the film starring Saif, Bipasha Basu and Riteish Deshmukh told TOI, "It is a difficult sequence and needs a lot of technical support. And Vashu told Sajid to get the best team, irrespective of the cost. Sajid has already chalked out the scenes and is very excited to the shoot."
But the shooting schedule and locations are being kept strictly under wraps. Vashu and Sajid are constantly in touch to ensure "that everything is planned to the smallest detail before Saif starts shooting for this sequence," the source added.
When contacted, Bhagnani confirmed the news and said, "Yes, we have hired a VFX team from LA and they are coming to Mumbai next month. I can't divulge other details."

Idea Filmfare Awards to be held in Mumbai on January 24
GURGAON: For over half a decade now, the Filmfare Awards have given recognition to all that's now considered the gold standard in Indian cinema. And the coming year, the 101st for the Indian film industry, will be no different. The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards, "a night when the biggest stars will shine together", will be held at the Yash Raj Films Studio in Mumbai on January 24 next year.
The announcement was made at a press conference in Gurgaon on Tuesday in the presence of actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar. "I am here more as a subscriber than anything else. There's a history attached to Filmfare magazine, and there are such wonderful memories that it has given us. So I'd like to say that we'll all be there for the Idea Filmfare Awards. We'll gloat if we win one, sulk if we don't, but we'll be there," Akthar said.
According to Tarun Rai, the CEO of Worldwide Media that publishes Filmfare magazine, the coming award ceremony "will be nothing like what we have done before or people have seen so far".
"It has been another astounding year for Bollywood. More than 130 films were produced, many of which have had huge commercial success and won critical acclaim. For the first time, seven films have crossed the Rs 100-crore mark. It will be a tough task for Filmfare readers and the jury to select the winners as we have both popular and critics' awards," Rai said.
Also present at the announcement ceremony was the chief corporate affairs officer of Idea Cellular, Rajat Mukarji. "The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards mark another glorious year of Idea's association with Filmfare," he said.

‘Biteka Pal’ team celebrates Keki Adhikari birthday during audio launch
On the occasion of the lead actress’ birthday of the upcoming movie ‘Biteka Pal’, the film team organized a special celebration.
